Inter-capital Virtual Leased Lines (iVLLs)
Once you’re connected to IX Australia in one capital city, our inter-capital Virtual Leased Line (iVLL) service lets you extend your network into other capitals across Australia, with a private, point-to-point Layer 2 connection between two ports on IX Australia’s network.
For a small monthly fee, IX Australia’s iVLL is your private, layer 2 connection between our exchanges in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, and Brisbane.
iVLL services are billed in arrears, with the flexibility to adjust capacity as required and cancel with just one day’s notice.
Which service is right for you?
- iVLL: Connect IX Australia exchanges in different capital cities.
- VLL: Connect two locations within the same IX Australia market.
- Extended Reach: Extend your connection beyond your current IX Australia presence.

Support the network that supports you
Because IAA is a not-for-profit Member association, the value doesn’t stop with your connection. Revenue from iVLL helps us invest in our Content Network, supporting more caches, mirrors, and useful services for Members.
IAA Members can order and fine-tune their iVLL service through our fully automated Member Portal. Simply select your route and capacity, configure and activate your service, and start moving traffic.
